Procrastination is a wonderful thing!
I am just avoiding the mountain of pharmacology that I have to study tonight. I spent my last afternoon at the VA today. It was productive, but sort of sad. I have learned a lot, but I think Dr. J could have taught me tons more with just a few more sessions. My exam is next week. I have to get 80% or higher to move on in the course. The next phase is a whole day in clinic. It is sort of scary to think that less than a year ago I couldn't do any type of physical exam, and that starting next week, my exam could be used as someone's pre-op admission physical! SCARY!
Today the classroom is a new low. I didn't take off my scarf or coat the entire morning. I spent the entire class on Subtance Abuse curled up in a little ball praying for some signs of heat. During the 15 minutes class break I attempted to get coffee from Espresso Expose, but the line was too long. However, Matt S. was studying there, so I got to heat up my hand off his coffee. He has volunteered to be a pre-test guinea pig for me. Now I have my Matt, Matt S., and my parents lined up for practice tests........hehehe.
My mentor choice is coming around. I will have a sit down meeting next week to nail down the final details. It is good to get that monkey off my back!
I heard a cool song today on the Current (The Current )It was a song called "Karen" by a local band Friends Like These. It made me think of my little sister. Oh, she just called me, so I better go!
