I had a good weekend with my parents last week. Unfortunately, my string of correctly diagnosing the need for stiches was continued with my mom. We were walking on Malcolm Ave. a few blocks from my house (about two), when she tripped on a very uneven sidewalk and fell on her face. After getting her home to look at it closely, I convinced my Dad and Matt that we needed to get her to the ER for stiches. My mom, even after the triage nurse admitted her, refused to believe I was right about her needing stiches. Gosh, I am only in medical school, and fortitously just had my facial trauma lecture a few weeks ago! She calmed down, and once it was time for me to numb her up with the lidocaine (the Dr. let me do it so he could deal with the guy next to us) she stopped doubting me. The stiches came out yesterday, and it looks like she will heal up fine.

I had yet another exam today. It was Pharmacology. I did well, so now I am trying to motivate myself to study Pathology. Matt is off chaperoning another dance a DeLaSalle. I just hope they don't put him near the women's bathroom like they did last time.

I am doing some light Christmas shopping of the internet. I am going to try and break my disturbing trend of leaking details to people. Hopefully, Jenny, Karen, and Matt will have NO CLUE about what I am getting them this year.

Well, I need to get back to wonderful photos of what happens to your brain in car accidents!
